held in conjunction with the 

35^th Annual Training Conference

Tuesday - November 21, 2023

9am-3pm CST, Oak Brook, Illinois

 Presentation exclusively for: 

Chiefs, Sheriffs, Deputy Chiefs and Command Officers

While the three-day conference is open to all executives and can also include attending the Executive Symposium - this one-day Executive Symposium is specially designed to present current critical topics to Chief Executives and their command staff who may not be able to attend the full three-day conference.

Presenters and topics to be covered this year at the one-day Executive Symposium include:

Chief (ret.) Steve Ijames is a Nationally recognized Police Critical Incident Response Trainer and Law Enforcement Legal Defense Subject Matter Expert currently testifying in state and federal courts nationwide. Steve will debrief the use of force issues as they relate to training, equipment, response, policy, law and legal defense. Steve will also discuss current civil disorder issues and the legal and political trends impacting your agency.

Chief Pat Kreis, Vernon Hills PD – Illinois Chiefs of Police Association Legislative Committee will review the current legislative initiatives and challenges impacting your agency.

Chief (ret.) Jeff Chudwin – Nationally recognized use of force legal expert and firearms trainer will discuss use of force training trends, legal challenges and the effects of the Illinois Safety Act.

Eric Arnold – ILETSB Executive Institute will review the State of Illinois School & Campus Safety - Threat Assessment Committee, the State of Illinois ASEM & SAVEM Program and the Illinois Active Threat Master Instructors Program.

Chris Palmer - Officer Involved shootings and the Phoenix PD training review process.

This presentation has been submitted for 6 hours of Chief / Deputy Chief training hours through ILETSB.
