in cooperation with the ILETSB Executive Institute and ICAT, is pleased to invite you to attend the


ITOA Tactical Team Leaders Meeting

Date: Friday, October 9, 2026

Time: 10am – 2pm

Location: ICAT Training Center

In our continuing efforts to develop training relationships, information sharing, policy and procedure development, multi-agency assistance, and general training collaboration, the ITOA will be hosting this Illinois Tactical Team Leaders Meeting.

The agenda will focus on the topics decided upon at the last Tactical Team Leaders Meeting in May 2026. Items on the agenda for the Friday, October 9th meeting include, but are not limited to:

  1. Review of the Tactical Team Glossary
  2. Review of the SWAT Team missions - capabilities - policies - equipment and training guidelines
  3. Review of the Emergency Response Team missions - capabilities - policies - equipment and training guidelines.
  4. Review of the Warrant Service Team missions - capabilities - policies - equipment and training guidelines
  5. Review of the Tactical Teams selection pre-requisites
  6. Review of ITOA’s Basic 2-Week SWAT Class Curriculum & Schedule
  7. ITOA Tactical Team Commander & Tactical TL’s Leadership Course development report and Work Group establishment.
  8. Tactical Team specialties certifications & qualifications review and Work Group enablement: Chemical Munitions / Less Lethal Technologies / NFDD / Breaching / TECH / TEMS / Sniper
  9. Discuss the development of the ITOA’s Tactical Team Certification Cadre / SME’s
  10. Report on ITOA’s new operating WEBSITE & Operating System
  11. ITOA’s Master Firearms Instructor Program meeting flier / discussion
  12. 2026 ITOA training conference flier / discussion
  13. Open Question / Answer / Discussion Session

After completing a registration form, you will receive a registration confirmation email. Lunch will be provided – please remember to choose Ham or Turkey sandwich for lunch!


ABOUT ITOA

This is an opportunity for tactical officers to gather together to compare ideas and experiences. Through education and networking, it was hoped that high-risk operations requiring the use of a tactical team would be made safer.
