NEMRT and the Illinois Tactical Officers Association,

in cooperation with D5 Ranges and the Lake Villa, North Chicago & Grayslake Police Departments, are pleased to offer this dynamic training opportunity:

Master Tactical Patrol Officer Instructor Program

The ITOA's Master Tactical Patrol Officer (TPO) Program is a training and recognition initiative that provides instructor training and certification for instructors to complete the ITOA’s Master TPO curriculum.

To enhance the ability of instructors to obtain the Master TPO designation, the Illinois Tactical Officers Association is pleased to offer the following Master TPO Instructor courses, funded by NEMRT at no cost to the departments.

This training opportunity allows those seeking Master TPO designation an opportunity to finish the courses they still need or provides the opportunity for an officer to complete the entire Master TPO requirements. The listed courses are the courses required for those seeking Master TPO designation and recognition.

The prerequisites to attend these courses are:

• Attendees must be sworn police officers currently employed by a government agency
• Be qualified and certified with their duty pistol and patrol rifle
• Officers must have completed end user / basic training in:

Master TPO Instructor certification courses & dates offered by NEMRT are tentatively scheduled for:

• Tac Pistol & Rifle Course: September 3-4, 2025, D5 Range Marengo IL.
• Patrol CQB / Building Searching Instructor: September 16-17-18, 2025, Lake Villa IL.
• High Risk Traffic Stop Instructor: October 29-30, 2025, Grayslake IL.
• Rapid Deployment & Solo Officer Response Instructor: November 4-5-6-7, 2025, Lake Villa & Elgin IL.
• Rescue Task Force Instructor: November 13-14, 2025, Lake Villa IL.
• Scenario Based Training Instructor & Safety Officer Course: December 15-16-17, 2025, Gurnee & Lake Villa IL.
• Urban Tactics / MACTAC: April 27-28-29-30, 2026, North Chicago IL.
