The Illinois Tactical Officers Association, in cooperation with Friction Point Solutions, is pleased to offer this training opportunity:

Tactical Tracking / Area Search Course

(3 days)

Times: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Location: Joliet, IL 

COURSE DESCRIPTION:  

Rural search operations can be some of the most dangerous operations a tactical element may be asked to undertake. This course is designed to integrate all available assets (K9, SUAS, Air Assets, etc.) into tactical, rural searching operations. The goal of this course is to educate tactical team members, K9 handlers, SUAS operators and all other personnel with capabilities that may be tasked with supporting these types of operations how they can effectively work together to enhance operator safety and increase the likelihood of a successful outcome.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES

• To identify the utilization of specialty assets within the team (K9, SUAS, Air Assets, Distraction Devices, etc.)
• To identify the capabilities of a canine team during tracking/area search operations.
• To identify the different types of search patterns a K9 team may utilize and when to apply them.
• To identify the different team formations utilized during a tactical track or search.
• To identify actions on objective once a suspect position has been located.
• To identify immediate action drills utilized to respond to unexpected contact.

K9 Handlers with K9: (course max is 6 K9 teams)

$400 ITOA members, $440 Non-Members (includes a 1-year membership)

Team members:

$300 ITOA members, $340 non-members (includes a 1-year membership)

Drone Operators / Auditors / All other attendees:

$300 ITOA members, $340 non-members (includes a 1-year membership)

After completing a registration form and making payment, you will receive a confirmation email with specific location information and reporting instructions.

ITOA Refund Policy (effective from February 10, 2025)

The Illinois Tactical Officers Association (ITOA) refund policy for those who cancel their attendance at an ITOA paid event is as follows:

• A full refund will be issued if cancellation occurs at least 30 calendar days prior to the event. 
• If cancelled 7-29 calendar days prior to the event, a 50% refund will be issued.
• Cancellations less than 7 calendar days prior to the event will not be granted a refund.

Additionally, a registrant who does not attend the event for which they are registered will not receive a refund.
