
The Illinois Tactical Officers Association in Cooperation with the SITE and D5 Ranges, is pleased to offer the CSAT – Combat Shooting & Tactics:
SHOOT HOUSE INSTRUCTORS COURSE
Dates: August 5 - 9, 2024
Times: 9am - 5pm each day
*Must be active Law Enforcement to register*
Course Description: This 5-day Shoot House Instructors Course, will provide students with the knowledge, information, safety protocols and competency they need to safely manage and conduct live-fire CQB shoot house training for Tactical Team Officers.
The course will address the following major topics:

- 2-5 Officer Team CQB
- Safe Shoot House Set Up
- Multi-Room CQB
- Surgical Shooting
- Multi-Team CQB
- Training Methodology
- Multi-Breach Point CQB
- Single Officer CQB
- NFDD Deployment
- Target Selection & Placement
- Medical Emergencies
- Low-Light CQB
- Sim-Munitions Integration
- 1-2 Officer CQB
The course will focus on the safety fundamentals required to conduct this training. Students will be tested by written quizzes, participating in and conducting hands-on, live fire shoot house training sessions and scenarios. To pass the course, students must demonstrate their ability to manage, supervise and train fellow students in live fire CQB under instructor supervision. ITOA Master Shoot House Instructors will be conducting this training. Two shoot house facilities will be utilized to enhance the students’ knowledge and experience with different types of shoot houses. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a CSAT Shoot House Instructor Certificate.
Prerequisites: This is an advanced tactics course, designed for tactical team firearms and use of force instructors, who will then return to their teams and conduct live fire shoot house training.
Locations:
August 5th - 6th The Site Shoot Houses – Mount Carol, IL.
August 7th Half the class will be at D5 Range, Marengo, IL. the other half will stay at the SITE.
August 8th The two halves will switch – the half that was at D5 on August 7 will go back to the SITE on the 8th – The half that was at the SITE on August 7, will go to D5 on August 8th.
August 9th Entire Class back together for the final day at the SITE.

Ammunition Requirement: Rifle Ball: 500Rds / Pistol Ball: 500Rds / 250 Frangible Rifle Rounds & 150 Frangible Pistol Rounds
These are minimums - bring more if you can.
Lodging, Travel and Food:
The course cost does not include ammunition, lodging, transportation and food. Attendees are responsible for their own ammunition, lodging, transportation and food. Lodging and food are available on-site at the Black Bear Lodge – a link will be provided once registered and confirmed as attending.
