4 DAY SWAT Sniper Advance Skills Course
June 20-21-22-23, 2023
Mount Carroll IL. 8am-4pm
This four day, 32-hour course has been designed to provide certified SWAT Law Enforcement Snipers advanced engagement skills sets to include:
Topics to be addressed include, but not limited to:
200-600 yard zero & engagements / MILS.MOA range funding, range cards and computing elevation / settings for distances without established zeros / Positional shooting, tripods & barricades / moving target engagements, 100-200-300 yard movers / low light, night vision, thermal familiarization / vehicle & urban hides / high angle shooting and much more.
Lead Instructor for this course will be:
The Site’s President and Director of Training, former Navy SEAL Master Chief, Jim Kauber. After serving 20 years in the SEAL Teams, Jim continued post 9-11 employment in support of allied military and US Government national security related assignments worldwide. In a training capacity, he held positions as the primary precision rifle instructor for the US Department of Energy’s Central Training Academy, Gunsite Academy, Blackwater North, O’Gara Group, Cheytac, Global Options, and The Site, in addition to training law enforcement snipers and European coalition Special Operations Forces’ snipers in support of OEF. Jim was recently the High-risk Training Safety Officer for Naval Special Warfare Command, Coronado, CA overseeing all SEAL and Special Warfare Combatant – Crewman, SWCC hazardous training programs.
Ammunition Requirement:
400 rounds minimum of the same department issued ammo.
Note: If departments are transitioning to different types or brands of ammunition then recommend snipers bring this for re-zeroing and chronographing for adjusted velocities. Example; TAP AMAX to TAP ELD-M
Course Costs:
ITOA Members: $800.00
Non-Members: $840.00 (must select the non-member option at registration; includes your one-year ITOA membership)
After completing a registration form and providing payment, you will receive a confirmation email with course requirements and day one reporting instructions.
The course cost does not include ammunition, lodging, transportation and food. Attendees are responsible for their own ammunition, lodging, transportation and food. Lodging and food are available on-site at the Black Bear Lodge – a link will be provided once registered and confirmed as attending.
