SHOOT HOUSE INSTRUCTOR COURSE

Dates: September 12-16, 2022

Times: 9 am-4 pm Each Day

Locations:

3 Locations: Dupage, Marengo & Mt. Carol

Course Description: This 5-day Shoot House Instructors Course will provide students with the knowledge, information, safety protocols and competency they need to safely manage and conduct live-fire CQB shoot house training for Tactical and Patrol Officers. The course will address the following major topics:

Safety
2-5 Officer Team CQB
Safe Shoot House Set Up
Multi-Room CQB
Surgical Shooting
Multi-Team CQB
Training Methodology
Multi-Breach Point CQB
Single Officer CQB
NFDD Deployment
Target Selection & Placement
Medical Emergencies
Low-Light CQB
Sim-Munitions Integration
1-2 Officer CQB

The course will focus on the safety fundamentals required to conduct this training. Students will be tested by multiple written quizzes, participating in and conducting hands-on, live fire shoot house training sessions and scenarios. To pass the course, students must demonstrate their ability to manage, supervise and train fellow students in live fire CQB under instructor supervision. ITOA Master Shoot House Instructors will be conducting this training. Three shoot house facilities will be utilized to enhance the students’ knowledge and experience with different types of shoot house facilities. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a CSAT Shoot House Instructor Certificate.

Ammunition Requirement (Updated!): Rifle Ball: 400Rds / Pistol Ball: 400Rds / 100 Marking Rounds / 200 Frangible Rifle Rounds / 100 Frangible Pistol Rounds

ABOUT ITOA

This is an opportunity for tactical officers to gather together to compare ideas and experiences. Through education and networking, it was hoped that high-risk operations requiring the use of a tactical team would be made safer.
