Advanced CQB / Live Fire

Urban Tactics Course

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This five-day, 40-hour course has been designed to provide officers with advanced tactical firearms training in a realistic live fire environment.

Mid-South Institute provides officers the opportunity to actually perform advanced tactical response skill sets in a live fire environment, which is as realistic as can safety be duplicated.

The emphasis of the course will be advance tactical firearms skills when the situation requires action against armed offenders. The course will highlight individual and team skill development in: Close Quarters Engagements, Active Threat Response, Hostage Rescue Missions and MACTAC-Urban Tactics. Lodging is included and is on-sight. Each participant will be required to bring a minimum of 1,000 Pistol Rds. & 1,500 Rifle Rds.

COURSE PREREQUISITES: The class is an advanced live fire tactics course and is specifically designed to build upon the firearms and tactical skill sets the officers have previously learned in the ITOA Master Tactical Patrol Officers Curriculum and/or Tactical Teams HR/CQB training. Those attending must CURRENTLY possess advanced firearms and police tactical abilities. Attendees MUST be either ITOA Master TPO’s, Illinois Master Active Threat Instructors, or be vetted / approved by the ITOA Training Cadre. This class is also physically demanding. Attendees will be required to perform in high stress, physically challenging situations and will run, sprint, kneel and perform police tactical operations in a live fire environment.

Cost: $975.00 - Includes Lodging, Range Fees and Instructor Costs

    ABOUT ITOA

    This is an opportunity for tactical officers to gather together to compare ideas and experiences. Through education and networking, it was hoped that high-risk operations requiring the use of a tactical team would be made safer.
